JUDGING CRITERIA:
The judges will consider the following points in their consideration of the winning designs;
- design originality
- the changes from the original gown to the finished gown
- the detail to finishing such as seams and hemming
- the level of finishing considering your age and level of fashion or art training
- wearability of finished gown
- detail of embellishment work
- variety of artistic media used for embellishment
- extra judging points will be given in ReDesign by Sewing for gowns made in sizes 16-20
If you are unable to attend the judging show, Sat April 10 2010, you may mail the dress and we will display
it on a hanger. There is no penalty for showing on hanger.

DRESS SELECTION:
On Sunday Feb 28th, between 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at the Kozlov Centre in Barrie, we will hold a Dress Selection Day - where you
will be able to go through the gowns and select the ones you want to work with.
GTA school delivery: If you are unable to get to Barrie, and there are at least 6 pre-paid registrations from your school entering
the contest, we will bring a selection of gowns to your school.
Students, teachers, alumni and friends are included in the minimum of 6 pre-paid registrations.
Last minute registrations are accepted at the Dress Selection date, but they will get second round of dress pick.
The school delivery minimum of 6 registration fees must be sent prior to Feb 20th in one envelope.
You will be responsible for a location and supplying a rack for the gowns
The Ballroom Blitz will supply contestants with at least two gowns for entry in the ReDesign by Sewing.
You must use a minimum of 50% of the materials from the given gowns in your nal submitted dress.
If you select the Hand Painting & Beading category, you may choose 1 gown.
You are not allowed to alter the gown other than changing the hem length.

FASHION SHOW FINALS:
You do not have to be present for the judging. . You can mail your dress prior to April 2, 2010, or send a friend or parent to show
your gown.
You can model the gown/s yourself. We will show your dress on hanger if you are unable to attend.
